The Treatment of Chicken Pox

Treatments for chicken case vary with every case, some may be more severe and could require going to the hospital. The following treatments can help ease the pain of Chicken Pox and make it go away faster.
- Acetaminophen to reduce fever
-Calamine lotion ( for itchy bumps)
-Bedrest
-Drinking many fluids
-Cool, baking soda baths and lotion
What NOT to do:
- NEVER give children with Chicken Pox aspirin. This could cause a serious condition called Reye Syndrome, this affects all major body systems and organs if diagnosed.
-Do not scratch the bumps and blisters, this causes bacterial infections.
The doctor might prescribe patients with chicken pox based their specific case.
